About Lance West
Two Italian designers shaped Lance West before Azimut built her: Alberto Mancini drew the exterior lines, Francesco Guida the interior. She was completed in 2021, part of the S series, at 94 feet. She reads as a design exercise as much as a cruiser.
Build and provenance
She is built in GRP, hull and superstructure both, but carries carbon fibre elements through her construction to save weight. Mancini's exterior lines and Guida's interior give her a coherent design language rather than styling layered onto a standard hull, which matters to a buyer as much at resale as at purchase.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep in four cabins: a full-beam owner's suite, two VIP cabins and one twin, looked after by a crew of four. Floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the main salon, which holds a dedicated dining area and a wet bar with a wine cooler. On deck the sportsbridge carries its own bar and alfresco dining table, the foredeck is a sunpad lounge, and the main salon opens straight onto the aft deck terrace, so the line between inside and outside barely exists.
Performance and engineering
Twin MTU engines drive a planing hull built for pace, cruising at 28 knots. Gyro stabilisers hold her level at anchor and under way, and the weight saved by her carbon fibre construction goes into stability rather than sitting as ballast.
Where she lies and how to see her
Lance West is berthed in La Spezia, Italy. Boatcrowd puts viewings on the calendar and is there for them; once a buyer's offer is accepted, an independent survey and sea trial follow before anything is signed.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
