Cloud 9 Motor Yacht
About Cloud 9
Azimut delivered Cloud 9 in 2019, a 27-metre flybridge built in glass-reinforced plastic from hull to superstructure. At 145 gross tons she carries meaningful interior volume, and she lies today in Genoa, ready for a buyer to view.
Build and provenance
She is a monohull motor yacht in the flybridge style, with a beam of 6.4 metres against her 27-metre length. Azimut built her in glass-reinforced plastic for both hull and superstructure, and no refit is recorded: what a buyer sees today is close to how she left the yard in 2019.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins, with a crew of five to look after them, a crew-to-guest ratio that keeps service unhurried rather than stretched. The flybridge layout adds a deck of living space above the saloon, so guests have somewhere to be besides the interior.
Performance and engineering
Power comes from two MAN engines at 1,900 horsepower apiece, giving her a 22-knot cruise: enough to cover distance at a real pace without living at full throttle. No maximum speed is recorded for her, so that figure is best judged on a sea trial rather than a spec sheet.
Where she lies and how to see her
Cloud 9 lies in Genoa, Italy. Boatcrowd arranges her viewings and is present for each one; once an offer is accepted, we bring in a surveyor and set a sea trial before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
