Build and provenance
She is Azimut's S8, a sport-styled monohull motor yacht delivered in 2022. At 24 metres length overall, rated 80 feet, with a 5.6-metre beam and a 1.8-metre draft, Oceans Se7en carries the proportions the S8 line was drawn to. No refit is recorded since delivery, so the specification a buyer inspects today is the one handed over in 2022.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests can sleep aboard across five cabins, close to two guests per cabin, a layout built for a full complement rather than a couple travelling light. On an 80-foot sportyacht that count keeps the cabins generous rather than cramped.
Performance and engineering
Three Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, each rated 1000 HP, give Oceans Se7en a 28-knot cruise and 34 knots flat out. Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
