Santa Maria II Motor Yacht
About Santa Maria II
Eight guests across four cabins is a comfortable ratio for a 20-metre yacht, and Santa Maria II keeps her plan simple: and a crew of two kept out of the way. Azimut delivered her in 2018 as a Magellano 66, built around that steady balance rather than around entertaining a crowd.
Build and provenance
Santa Maria II is a monohull motor yacht in Azimut's Magellano range, delivered in 2018. No refit is on record, so the yacht is listed as she was built.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, among them an owner's suite set apart from the rest. Two crew look after the yacht and its guests, a small complement that keeps her easy to run without feeling crowded, and leaves more of the 20 metres for the people paying for the trip.
Performance and engineering
Twin Volvo Penta D13 engines drive her to a top speed of 23 knots, a pace built for steady passages rather than for sprinting. A Seakeeper stabiliser keeps her steady at anchor and under way, which matters most with four cabins through the night.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge adds a second open level above the main deck, and a swim platform lowers to the waterline for swimming and for boarding a tender.
Where she lies and how to see her
Santa Maria II lies in Croatia. We arrange viewings on the water and attend them with you, and once you make an accepted offer, a survey and sea trial follow before she is yours.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
