About Sierra
Two crew looking after eight guests is a light touch for a sports yacht this size, and it says something about how easy Sierra is meant to be to run. Azimut built the S7 in 2021, and a stabiliser system keeps her steady enough at rest that a small crew can manage the rest.
Build and provenance
Her hull is built in fibreglass. At 45 gross tonnes on a 21-metre platform, she carries speed rather than bulk, and her open-plan layout keeps sightlines to the water from most of the boat.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, and two crew see to all of them, a ratio that puts more of the day-to-day care in the owner's or captain's hands rather than a large below-decks team. The door that closes the tender garage folds flat to become a sunbathing platform, so the same space works two ways depending on the day.
Performance and engineering
A Seakeeper gyro stabiliser is fitted, and her builder describes a layout designed to keep noise down at speed too. She cruises at 28.9 knots and reaches 35 knots flat out, a sports yacht's turn of speed for an owner who wants to cover distance quickly rather than idle.
On deck and at anchor
Sunpads and the swim platform are where the day happens once the anchor is down, and air conditioning and the tender garage keep the comforts and the toys aboard rather than trailing behind in a chase boat.
Where she lies and how to see her
Sierra lies in Hong Kong. Boatcrowd sets up the viewing and joins you for it, and once you make an offer that is accepted, a surveyor and a sea trial follow before the transaction completes.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
