Build and provenance
She is a steel-hulled monohull with an aluminium superstructure, a custom design rather than a series-built model. At 35 metres she measures 320 gross tons, with a beam of 7.7 metres.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins aboard Bee Explorer, and a crew of six run the boat around them, close to one crew member for every two guests. On an explorer-style yacht that ratio points to a boat set up for extended time aboard rather than a short trip with a lean weekend crew.
Performance and engineering
Two engines rated at 1,430 hp each give her a 12-knot cruise, with 13 knots available at full throttle: numbers built for a steady, covering pace rather than a fast dash between anchorages.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
