Wally WHY200

Delivery in August 2023 makes Wally Why200 one of the newer sport yachts on the market, built to a distinctive, futuristic design rather than a traditional profile. She is a 27-metre motor yacht from Wally Yachts, and running her today means running a boat close to new rather than one with years of use behind her.

Build and provenance

Wally Yachts built her in 2023 as a 27-metre monohull in the sport style, a lower, faster-looking profile than a flybridge cruiser. The design carries through the deck lines and the glazing rather than sitting only in the specification sheet, which is the kind of detail a buyer can only really judge in person.

Layout and accommodation

Eight guests sleep across four cabins, including an owner's suite with wrap-around glass rather than a conventional cabin window, a layout choice that trades a little privacy for a view few motor yachts offer. Performance and engineering

Four Volvo Penta D13 engines, each rated at 1,000 hp from a 1,350 block, give her an 18-knot cruise and 21 knots flat out, output built for a sport yacht that moves quickly rather than one built to cross oceans. A double tender garage keeps the toys out of sight until they are needed, which matters on a boat with this much glass to keep clear.

On deck and at anchor

A beach club opens with a fold-down swim platform, and an enclosed saloon on the upper deck gives guests somewhere out of the wind when the sport styling means an open flybridge would not. Zero-speed stabilisers keep her still at anchor, which matters on a hull built more for speed than for sitting quietly.
