Aquasition

An eighty-eight-foot flybridge with a full-beam owner's suite and three further cabins is a considered piece of design, and Aquasition carries it from Ocean Alexander's own board. Build and provenance

She has a GRP hull and superstructure, the construction Ocean Alexander uses across its range, paired with twin MAN diesel engines and a compact, explorer-style layout. A bow thruster and a stern thruster make tight-marina manoeuvring straightforward, and a shallow draft opens up anchorages a deeper-draft eighty-eight-footer would have to skip. Twin MAN diesel engines and a shallow draft give her the reach to work a coastline that deeper yachts at this length cannot, picking anchorages other boats have to pass by. The same thrusters keep close-quarters work simple for a crew of two, and her reported cruising range points toward longer passages rather than day trips alone.
