About Sunreef 43M Eco 004
The Sunreef 43M Eco 004 is built around a different kind of engineering: two 400kW electric motors and solar panels, built to run on regenerated and solar power rather than diesel alone. Sunreef is building her now, hull number four of the design, for delivery in 2027.
Build and provenance
Sunreef Yachts builds the Sunreef 43M Eco 004 as a sailing catamaran, at 498 gross tons with a beam of 15.4 metres and a draught of 3 metres, proportions that come from twin hulls rather than a single one. She is still under construction, hull four of the series, so there is no service history yet to weigh, just the build specification itself.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated across six cabins, laid out across the beam that a catamaran hull provides.
Performance and engineering
Her two 400kW electric motors, fed by solar panels and regenerative charging under sail, give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 13 knots. It is a propulsion plan built around silence and range rather than outright pace, in keeping with a sailing catamaran that can also motor under her own power when the wind drops.
On deck and at anchor
A walk-around beach club joins the aft platform, the side skirts and two fold-down balconies into one space at the water's edge, with a pool and deck jacuzzi close by. Below, a gym and a sauna and steam room cover the wellness side, and a cinema, jet skis, scuba equipment and an onboard therapist are also aboard for guests who want more than the water off the platform.

She is under construction in Poland, and Boatcrowd handles enquiries on the Sunreef 43M Eco 004 through to delivery. We arrange yard viewings and attend them with you, and once an offer is accepted a survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
