Build and provenance
Sanlorenzo built Gatsby in 2020, in glass-reinforced plastic for both hull and superstructure, at twenty-nine metres and 160 gross tons. That size sits within the range a crew of five can run without extra hands.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of five to run the boat day to day. For an owner, that crew keeps the boat ready to go without hands-on management from the owner, watch-keeping, provisioning and maintenance handled before she is ever asked to leave the dock.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at 24 knots, quick enough to close distance along open water without turning every outing into a long passage. For an owner, that is speed suited to comfortable day trips, not a yacht built with ocean crossings as the point.

Gatsby is currently in Miami Beach, in the United States, where a viewing can be arranged directly through us. We attend every viewing in person, and if an offer is accepted, a survey and sea trial come next before the sale closes.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
