About Blue Zone
Blue Zone pairs the practicality of an explorer-style layout with the styling of a modern Italian motor yacht, and that combination is the reason to look twice. Sanlorenzo delivered the SX88 new in 2024, and Blue Zone has spent her short life in private use. Twenty-seven metres and 115 gross tonnes give her space to carry eight guests across four cabins without asking more of the crew of three who run her.
Build and provenance
She is one of Sanlorenzo's SX88 series, a line built around open living and easy access to the sea, on a semi-displacement GRP hull under a contemporary superstructure. Zuccon International Project designed her interior, a full custom scheme with panoramic glazing that carries the open-plan thinking below decks. Built in 2024, she is new enough that a survey reads as a delivery inspection rather than years of history.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, including a full-beam master suite that runs the width of the hull for extra light and space, while a crew of three live apart to keep the boat running without crowding the guest areas. The SX88's open-plan salon and expansive stern crossover keep circulation loose between decks, letting a full complement of guests move around rather than stay seated in one room.
Performance and engineering
Three engines, controlled from a joystick station that makes tight berthing straightforward, give her an 18-knot cruise and a top speed of 23 knots. Electric stabilisers work both at anchor and under way, keeping a swimming stop as steady as a passage, and a second generator adds house power for when the yacht is full. A 1,000 nautical mile range against a 9,300-litre fuel tank and a 2,000-litre water tank points to a yacht built for multi-day runs.
On deck and at anchor
The beach club at the stern extends the swim platform into a proper outdoor room, and Wi-Fi throughout keeps guests connected without cables strung across the deck.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
