Diable Motor Yacht
About Diable
Two cabins for four guests is a deliberately small footprint, and it is the choice behind Diable's layout: a sports yacht built to be driven, not to host a crowd below deck. Riva delivered her in 2023, and one crew member keeps her running, which suits a couple or two couples who want speed without a full ship's company aboard.
Build and provenance
She is a GRP-hulled Riva Diable, built in 2023 and kept in dry storage since her delivery that November with 20 hours on her engines and 15 on her generators. For a buyer, that means a survey closer to a new-boat inspection than one weighing years of hard use.
Layout and accommodation
Four guests sleep in two cabins, one of them a full-beam master that takes the width of the hull, while a single cabin below houses the one crew member who runs her. Life aboard centres on the cockpit, the sunpads aft and a bow area built for lounging, the open-air spaces a sports yacht like this is designed around rather than the cabins below.
Performance and engineering
MAN V-12 engines give her a cruising speed of 31 knots and a top speed of 39, numbers that put her in true sports-yacht territory rather than a fast cruiser dressed up to look quick. A 3,800-litre fuel tank against 601 litres of fresh water reflects a boat built to run hard for a day rather than to cross an ocean.
Where she lies and how to see her
Boatcrowd is the buyer's point of contact for Diable throughout a purchase, arranging a viewing and attending it with you directly. A survey and sea trial follow once an offer is accepted, straightforward work on a yacht with so few hours on her machinery.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
