Princess built her as a 30M, and the engineering behind that low-hours figure is what a buyer is really assessing when they come aboard Afon.
Build and provenance
Princess builds the 30M as a semi-displacement flybridge motor yacht, and this one came off the line in 2020 at 31 metres and 162 gross tons, with a beam of 6.8 metres and a draught of 2.1 metres. Her original owner has run her as a family yacht since new, which lines up with the low hours still on her engines.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep in five cabins, with the owner's suite set forward on the main deck, level with the salon floor and lit through a ceiling hatch. The main salon divides into a television lounge and a dining area that seats ten, lit in part by an onyx panel. Five crew look after the guests throughout their stay.
Performance and engineering
Two MTU 12V 2000 engines have logged 950 hours between them, cruising at 16 knots and reaching 22 knots flat out. Range is around 700 nautical miles, pointing to a yacht built for extended coastal runs rather than short hops. Fin stabilisers keep her steady both at anchor and under way.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge carries a jacuzzi under a hardtop with a sliding roof section, along with a wet bar, and the swim platform lowers hydraulically to the water. Aft, a tender garage and a watermaker round out what she carries for time at anchor.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
