A charter aboard her before a purchase is signed: that is the case for Esmeralda of the Seas, a 30-metre flybridge motor yacht that Monte Carlo built in 2018 and refitted in 2022. Build and provenance
Monte Carlo built Esmeralda of the Seas, and Nuvolari Lenard drew her inside and out, working from one design language across both spaces. A refit followed the 2018 build in 2022, so a buyer takes on a hull that already carries a round of recent updating rather than one still waiting for that work.
Layout and accommodation
Five cabins sleep ten guests, and a crew of five looks after them. Fold-down balconies open the saloon out to the water at anchor, widening the room without adding to the hull's length. Up on the flybridge, a carbon hardtop with a section that slides back shelters a dining table, a jacuzzi and a bar, so the top deck works for a lunch as easily as for an evening.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at fifteen knots and reaches eighteen at full power, speeds suited to hopping along the coast rather than crossing open water. A beam of 6.9 metres and a draft of 2.1 metres are figures a marina harbourmaster can work with when finding her a berth.
Where she lies and how to see her
Esmeralda of the Seas lies in France, cruising out of Cannes with a charter programme that reaches into Monaco as well. Boatcrowd sets up each viewing and comes along for it, and once an offer is accepted we bring in a surveyor and put her through a sea trial before the sale is finished. Because she already charters with us, a buyer does not have to rely solely on written descriptions: a week aboard her is possible ahead of any purchase.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
