Monte Carlo Yachts delivered her in 2015 to the MCY 86 design, and at a twenty-four-knot cruise she covers ground fast enough to make a same-day hop between anchorages practical. Monte Carlo Yachts built BAYC Asia in 2015 to the MCY 86 design, a monohull with a fibreglass hull, materials that keep upkeep and insurance straightforward for an owner. Her 5.7-metre beam on a twenty-six-metre length gives the flybridge layout the width its deck spaces need.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, a count suited to an owner who uses her with family and close friends rather than large charter groups. As a flybridge model she carries an upper deck above the saloon, adding open-air living space to the accommodation below.
Performance and engineering

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
