Nuvolari Lenard 52 Plus Motor Yacht
About Nuvolari Lenard 52 Plus
At 53 metres, the Nuvolari Lenard 52 Plus carries 499 gross tons, a hull drawn to keep her tonnage low for her length. Mengi Yay is building her now in Turkey, with delivery due in 2028, and a buyer stepping in during construction can still shape her interior before she is finished.
Build and provenance
Mengi Yay is the builder, working to a design from Nuvolari Lenard, the studio behind both her exterior and interior styling on this, the yard's NL52 Plus. Van Oossanen Naval Architects engineered her hull to keep her tonnage down. At 53 metres (173 feet) length and 9 metres beam, she is a big-volume monohull built to a displacement style rather than a planing one, which favours a smooth ride over outright speed. Her delivery is scheduled for 2028, so a buyer is effectively commissioning a near-finished vessel rather than starting from a blank hull.
Layout and accommodation
Because the Nuvolari Lenard 52 Plus is still under construction, her cabin arrangement is not yet fixed: the yard has left scope to personalise interior finishes and layout rather than deliver a set plan. That leaves a buyer genuine input on how the accommodation is configured before any of it is committed to construction.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at 12 knots and reaches 16.5 knots at full speed, figures that describe a displacement hull built for steady, efficient running rather than a planing yacht chasing top speed. On a yacht built to keep her tonnage down, efficiency is the aim over a long passage rather than outright speed.
Where she lies and how to see her
She is under construction in Turkey, with delivery due in 2028. Boatcrowd arranges visits to the build for qualified buyers and attends them, and once an offer on her is accepted, the usual survey and sea trial follow ahead of delivery.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
