Mangusta 165REV Motor Yacht
About Mangusta 165REV
No hull number exists yet for the Mangusta 165REV, and that is the clearest sign of what she is: a yacht still on Overmarine's build schedule, due for delivery in 2027. Her exterior lines are the work of Overmarine's engineering department with the design studio Lobanov Design, and at fifty metres and 499 gross tons that partnership has plenty to shape.
Build and provenance
She is a Motor Sport yacht on a monohull, due in 2027 at 499 gross tons over fifty metres. Lobanov Design drew her low bow and elongated profile with the fluid lines that define modern Overmarine yachts. Buying in build changes the usual due diligence: the survey after an accepted offer checks a fit-out against specification, not a used hull for wear.
Layout and accommodation
Mangusta specifies the 165REV for 12 guests across six cabins, with the master suite set on the main deck rather than below, a layout choice that leaves the lower deck entirely for guest cabins. The saloon's side windows open onto two fold-down balconies, so the room reads as an extension of the water rather than a space shut off from it, and an overhead glazed strip adds light without adding more window at eye level.
Performance and engineering
Four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each rated at 2,600 hp, give her a 30-knot cruise and a 34-knot top speed, driven through waterjets rather than propellers. Overmarine says her fuel burn at that pace is around 30 percent lower than the previous series, so the speed doesn't carry the older model's appetite.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club sits at the stern, backed by a sundeck and sunpads for hours spent at anchor rather than underway, and a garage tucked along her side keeps a tender out of sight until it's wanted. The infinity pool blends into the sea at the waterline, so guests in the beach club watch it disappear rather than stop short of it.
Where she lies and how to see her
The Mangusta 165REV is being built in Italy, on Overmarine's own ground, and Boatcrowd represents her through the build and the delivery that follows. We arrange viewings of the build in progress and the finished yacht alike, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial come next, in the order they would for any yacht changing hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
