A yacht built to feel like a villa at sea is the idea behind the Ferretti 720: architect Filippo Salvetti worked with Ferretti Yachts on a layout that trades boat-shaped rooms for the proportions of a home, and fitted her with the toys, from thrusters to underwater lighting, that make a day on the water easy rather than a project.
Build and provenance
This Ferretti 720 was built in 2024, a fibreglass-hulled flybridge cruiser at 22 metres, with a beam of 5.6 metres and a 5.9-metre draught. She's new enough that nothing about her systems needs explaining away, only enjoying.
Layout and accommodation
Below, the cabins each carry their own television, the kind of detail that turns a trip aboard into something closer to a stay at home. Above, the flybridge repeats the idea with its own fridge, bottle chiller and cooktop, so a meal on the top deck never means a walk back downstairs.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,200 hp MAN V8 1400 engines carry her to a 24-knot cruise and 28 knots at full throttle, with twin 20 kW generators to keep her systems running at anchor. Stabilisers hold her level underway, and proportional bow and stern thrusters make close-quarters manoeuvring straightforward.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club opens at the stern with a hydraulic swim platform that lowers to the waterline, so getting in and out of the sea takes no ceremony. Underwater lights turn the same spot into an evening feature, and the flybridge above adds a second, open-air deck for guests who want sun rather than shade.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
