Extra Yachts is building this twenty-nine-metre flybridge motor yacht for delivery in 2027, a size where the guest-to-crew ratio says as much about the boat as her length does.
Build and provenance
She is a monohull, one of Extra Yachts' X98 RPH models, currently in build with delivery set for 2027. At twenty-nine metres, with a beam of seven point seven metres and a draft of one point eight metres, her proportions can be read directly against a berth or a marina's draft limit.
Layout and accommodation
Five cabins hold her ten guests, and a crew of four is kept to their own quarters, a ratio that points to comfortable service rather than a lean delivery crew. As a flybridge motor yacht, she carries an extra deck of open living space above the main saloon, over and above the interior cabins below.
Performance and engineering
Three Volvo Penta engines power the Extra X98 RPH, each rated at 1,000 hp on IPS 1350 pod drives, giving a cruising speed of twenty-two knots and a top speed of twenty-eight knots:

Fold-down balconies are her one standout deck feature: panels that lower from the hull to turn a cabin or the saloon wall into an open platform above the water, rather than leaving guests behind a fixed window.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
