About Project Polaris
Buying an in-build yacht means choosing the layout before the design is locked, and Project Polaris still offers that choice. Built to a custom design at 39 metres, she is offered in two configurations, a Cruiser version with a flybridge and a Performance Sport version with a more open main deck, so an owner picks the arrangement that suits how they actually want to live aboard. She is due for delivery in 2028.
Build and provenance
This is a custom power catamaran, 128 feet long with a 15.7-metre beam, proportions that give the twin hulls real separation and the deck plan real width. At roughly 307 gross tonnes she carries meaningful interior volume for her length. The yard offers the hull in aluminium or carbon composite construction depending on which of the two versions is chosen, a decision an owner makes before the build proceeds rather than after.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are planned across six cabins, described as five or six depending on the version built, with two crew cabins and a separate captain's cabin keeping crew quarters apart from the guest decks. The Cruiser version puts a full beam owner's cabin on the main deck, while the Performance Sport version turns that deck into one open saloon instead. Either way, life on board centres on the aft deck and the beach area the lifting platform opens at the waterline.
Performance and engineering
Twin Caterpillar diesels are specified for propulsion, their output still to be finalised as the design is completed, and fuel tankage runs to 1,000 gallons. Draft is a modest 2 metres for a yacht this size, a consequence of the catamaran's twin hulls rather than a single deep keel, a figure worth noting for an owner who wants to get close to shore.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Polaris lies in Monaco while her build is finalised. Boatcrowd represents the sale and can walk a buyer through the specification and the choice between the two versions. Once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial are arranged for when she is complete.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
