About Bering B130
Twin MAN engines and a full-beam owner's apartment sit at opposite ends of what Bering B130 is built to do: cover long distances and still feel like a proper superyacht once she gets there. Bering Yachts has her under construction for delivery in 2029, a 40-metre explorer with a monohull shaped for range rather than speed. The whole design turns around two ideas: a private owner's deck that takes the full beam of the superstructure, and a forward dining area on the upper deck with panoramic views on both sides.
Build and provenance
Bering B130 is an explorer-style monohull, 40 metres overall with a beam of eight metres and a draught of 2.6 metres.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated, in four or five cabins depending on the owner's brief, on top of a private apartment that takes the full beam of the upper deck and opens onto its own terrace. Choose the four-cabin layout and the forward VIP on the main deck is sized closer to a second owner's suite than a guest room. Nine crew live and work apart from the guest decks, with the captain's cabin set apart on the sundeck for privacy. Below, the main salon uses an asymmetrical plan rather than mirroring both sides of the beam, which frees up floor space through the middle of the deck.
Performance and engineering
Two MAN engines, rated at 1,200 hp apiece, give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Those are explorer numbers, built for endurance rather than a sprint, matching a monohull drawn for long passages and remote anchorages rather than short coastal hops.
On deck and at anchor
The beach club sits aft on the main deck, open to an optional swimming pool that turns the space into a resort at anchor. A tender and two jet skis live in a garage beneath it, launched through an opening in the deck above rather than a stern ramp. Up on the sun deck, the space is given over to lounging rather than machinery.

She is being built in Turkey, with delivery set for 2029. We show buyers the build in progress and stand with them at each stage, and once an offer is accepted a survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
