About Y
Benetti handed over Y in May 2025, and she remains under the yard's warranty, delivered with an extensive list of options already fitted rather than left for a new owner to add. Her open sea terrace at the stern is a private space where guests reach the water directly rather than looking down on it from a higher deck.
Build and provenance
RWD designed her exterior for Benetti, and the New York studio Bonetti Kozerski Architecture handled the interior, with high ceilings and large glazed surfaces that keep the saloons open rather than partitioned. At 34 metres and 269 gross tonnes, Y carries genuine volume for a yacht built to a production design rather than a one-off commission.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep in four cabins, looked after by a crew of seven, a ratio that means real attentiveness rather than a crew stretched thin across a long season. The open-plan saloons and cabins that Bonetti Kozerski designed are free of unnecessary partitions, so the sea view most owners buy a yacht like this for reaches further into the room.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,380 hp MTU 10V 2000 M86 engines give her a 14-knot cruise and a 16-knot top speed, a displacement pace built for comfortable point-to-point passages rather than short sprints. At a 7.7-metre beam and a 2.03-metre draught, she carries the stability of her width into anchorages a deeper-draught yacht would have to avoid.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
