Amer 950 Motor Yacht
About Amer 950
Owning an Amer 950 starts with a decision most buyers do not get on a fixed-layout motor yacht: how many cabins she carries and where the stairs run. This hull is due for delivery in 2027, and at 28 metres she is a flybridge yacht in GRP, drawn by Ganto studio with a bow deck raised to the level of the upper deck.
Build and provenance
The Amer 950 carries her bow as usable deck rather than a narrow seating perch, set level with the upper deck so the two spaces open into one another instead of sitting apart. She is 28 metres length overall with a beam of 6.8 metres and a 1.9-metre draught, built in GRP at the Italian yard. Because the yard builds to order, a buyer coming to this hull now can still set the cabin count and the stair position before she is finished.
Layout and accommodation
The cabin count on this hull is still open, set at build to the owner's own layout rather than fixed at the yard. What the yard has fixed is the shape of the space itself: the bow deck sits at the same level as the upper deck, which removes the break between the two and adds a further place for guests to sit outdoors rather than confining that to the stern.
Performance and engineering
Two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 D13 engines, each rated at 1,000 hp, drive her through pod propulsion. She cruises at 20 knots and reaches 24 knots at full throttle, power built for covering the coast at a steady pace rather than for a sprint.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge itself is built without cockpit pillars beneath it, giving it what reads as a floating deck rather than a covered platform, with room enough to bring every guest together in one outdoor seating area. That is where she does most of her at-anchor living, above the noise of the cockpit and open to the view.
Where she lies and how to see her
This hull is being built in Italy and is not yet at her home berth. Boatcrowd arranges viewings at the yard as she nears completion and attends them with the buyer, and once an offer is accepted a survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
