About Project Dixon 46M
A composite hull and a carbon mast, designed by a yachtsman for a yachtsman: that is the brief behind Project Dixon 46M. Dixon Yacht Design drew her as a sailor's yacht above all, a 46-metre sloop meant to work under sail as much as to entertain at anchor. Alia Yachts, the Turkish yard building her, expects delivery in 2027.
Build and provenance
She carries a composite structure with a carbon mast, a sloop rig, twin rudders and a variable draught keel, a specification chosen for performance rather than for show. Dixon Yacht Design shaped both her lines and her engineering, and Alia Yachts is building her to that design in Turkey. For a buyer, that combination means a boat drawn to sail well, with the volume and finish of a modern yacht layered on top rather than a cruiser with a rig fitted afterwards.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests are accommodated across four cabins, a count that on a 46-metre hull leaves generous space per guest rather than a maximum-berth layout. The brief called for high-volume, usable rooms that work equally at rest or under way, both inside and on deck, so the interior is built around that rather than around cabin count alone.
Performance and engineering
Under power she cruises at 12 knots and reaches 14 knots flat out, figures that sit alongside her sailing performance rather than replacing it. Her beam of 9 metres and a draught of up to 6 metres, thanks to the variable keel, let her draw less water in a shallow anchorage and more once she is stretching her rig offshore, with twin rudders to hold their bite at speed.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club is the one deck amenity confirmed for her so far, opening the stern to the water once she is afloat. The rest of the deck specification is still being finalised alongside the wider build.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Dixon 46M is under construction in Turkey, at the yard building her to Dixon Yacht Design's drawings. Boatcrowd arranges a walkthrough of the project and its drawings for a buyer and stays involved as the build proceeds, and once an offer is accepted we co-ordinate survey and sea trial once she is afloat and ready.

- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
