About Kinda
Three propulsion modes, diesel, diesel-electric and full electric, mean Kinda can sit at anchor with her generators silent, useful in the marine parks and quiet harbours that increasingly ask for it. Tankoa Yachts built her in 2022 as a 50-metre S501, a displacement motor yacht, and she is offered for sale from Monaco.
Build and provenance
Her hull is aluminium, drawn by exterior designer Francesco Paszkowski with interior design by Margherita Casprini, and she is classed with Lloyd's Register. At 499 gross tons on a 50-metre hull, the vertical bow and expansive windows carry that volume into the guest spaces themselves.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six staterooms, with the owner's suite and a VIP cabin both on the main deck and two double cabins and two twin cabins below. A crew of nine looks after them, a ratio that keeps service close at hand without crowding the guest decks.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,319 hp Caterpillar C32 engines, working through the hybrid diesel-electric system and backed by twin 250kW Mase generators, give her a 12-knot cruise and 17 knots at full speed, with a 4,400 nautical mile range at cruising speed, enough for an ocean crossing rather than short coastal hops. Stabilisers hold her steady both at anchor and underway.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, a fold-down beach club opens to the water beside a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, with a barbecue and an outdoor shower close by. A gym and a hammam sit below decks, and sunpads and a winter garden add to the living space when the weather turns. Wifi, satellite TV and Starlink keep everyone connected, and a crane, a tender garage and underwater lights cover the practical side of ownership.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
