Contessa left the Sunseeker yard in 2024, which makes her one of the newest hulls of her size that Boatcrowd currently lists for sale. She is a flybridge motor yacht, sleeping ten guests in five cabins, and she now sits in Fort Lauderdale ready for a buyer who wants current systems rather than an older hull.
Build and provenance
Sunseeker built Contessa to her flybridge specification, a fibreglass monohull with a GRP superstructure and flybridge styling that carries the yard's proportions up in size. She is finished to US power specification, which for a buyer means the systems are set up for an American berth from the outset rather than needing conversion. At two years old her hull has barely been used, so a survey now reads closer to a delivery inspection than a history report.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across five cabins, and the owner's suite sits forward on the main deck in full beam, giving whoever takes it space and privacy that a lower-deck cabin cannot match. A crew of five look after the yacht, split across three cabins with their own separate mess, which keeps their quarters apart from the guest decks.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,000 hp MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines give Contessa a 20-knot cruise and a 28-knot top speed. That pace suits an owner who wants to cover the coast quickly rather than plan for a long, slow passage.
On deck and at anchor
Her beach club at the stern opens onto a tender garage, a rain shower and a fitted barbecue, with convertible aft seating that turns to face in toward the yacht or out to the water. It is a space built for the hours at anchor rather than under way.
Where she lies and how to see her
Contessa lies in Fort Lauderdale in the United States. Boatcrowd sets up viewings there and comes along for each one, and once a buyer's offer is accepted, we bring in the surveyor and schedule the sea trial before anything moves further.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
