Build and provenance
She is a Manhattan 68 Mark 1, a monohull motor yacht from Sunseeker's flybridge range, delivered new in 2021. At 21 metres, 69 feet on paper, with a 5.3-metre beam and 1.6-metre draft, her hull carries glazing that runs low along the topsides, letting light into the saloon and the cabins below deck.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of two aboard to run the boat. The master cabin sits amidships and is reached by its own staircase to port, set apart from the guest cabins, which open off the lower helm and an elevated companion seating area. Aft, the galley is fully equipped and opens through full-width sliding doors onto the cockpit, keeping the two social spaces connected rather than divided by a wall.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,200hp MAN V8 engines give Spartak a top speed of 31 knots, with a range of 550 nautical miles and 4,000 litres of fuel and 900 litres of water aboard for longer stretches between stops.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, the flybridge is set up for time outside, with a barbecue for cooking in the open air. Air conditioning cools the cabins below, a stern thruster and joystick control make her easy to handle close to a berth, and underwater lights extend the evening at anchor. Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
