Nine and a half metres of beam is generous for a sixty-foot catamaran, and it is the figure that shapes everything else about So Gnar. Sunreef Yachts delivered her in 2022 as a Sunreef 60, and that width below is what lets four cabins sit apart rather than nested end to end.
Build and provenance
The yard built So Gnar as a Sunreef 60. The interior design carries the same signature: it too is an in-house piece of work rather than an outside studio's, so the build reads as one continuous decision from hull to cabin.
Layout and accommodation
So Gnar's four cabins, each with its own en suite bathroom, sleep eight guests in the kind of privacy a beam this wide allows. Crew quarters open off the cockpit rather than from the guest areas, keeping the working side of the boat separate from the living side.
Performance and engineering
Twin 150 hp Volvo Penta engines drive her, a diesel pair sized for a catamaran that sails rather than motors most passages. She carries 231.15 gallons of fuel and 211.34 gallons of fresh water, tankage built for days at anchor without a refill. The aft cockpit is set up to carry a sixteen-foot tender on a hydraulic platform, so the dinghy stows clear of the swim area.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge lounge is the boat's social deck, and the bow terrace forward gives a second, quieter spot to sit. The hydraulic swim platform lowers to the water for swimming and tender access, and below, the ensuite bathrooms mean nobody queues before breakfast.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
