Iridescence Motor Yacht
About Iridescence
Nineteen knots is Iridescence's cruising speed, the pace two 1,920 hp MTU 12V 2000 engines hold before reaching twenty-two knots at full throttle. Ocean Alexander delivered her in 2020, and her interior, drawn by Evan K. Marshall, carries that engineering into a hull built for the Skylounge format.
Build and provenance
She is built on a fibreglass monohull with a fibreglass superstructure, 200 gross tonnes across 31 metres, 102 feet overall. Ocean Alexander built her to the Skylounge specification, and the active warranty still running on her main engines is the kind of detail that follows a yacht cruised lightly rather than run hard.
Layout and accommodation
Five cabins sleep ten guests, with the primary stateroom on the main deck rather than below. A crew of five run the boat from their own quarters, keeping service out of sight until it is needed.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,920 hp MTU 12V 2000 engines carry Iridescence to a 19-knot cruise and a 22-knot top speed, with low hours on record for a boat delivered in 2020. Hydraulic stabilisers rated to zero speed hold her level at rest as well as underway, and bow and stern thrusters bring her alongside without fuss.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge runs as one open level rather than split into tiers, with a jacuzzi built in and room left over for lounging, al fresco dining and a bar. It is the deck a group uses all day rather than moves through.
Where she lies and how to see her
Iridescence lies in Fort Lauderdale in the United States. We arrange a viewing and attend it with you, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
