About Sunset
A private owner and a 2024 delivery date mean Sunset comes to the market with almost no history to read, which is its own kind of reassurance for a buyer. Ferretti built her as a 1000, and she has been used privately rather than chartered.
Build and provenance
Sunset is a Ferretti 1000, a flybridge motor yacht built in GRP for both hull and superstructure, delivered in 2024. Filippo Salvetti drew her exterior styling and IdeaEitalia Architetti worked on the interior with Ferretti's own team, and she remains under a shipyard warranty, so any structural risk on a yacht this new is limited.
Layout and accommodation
Eleven guests sleep in five cabins: a master suite on the main deck, two VIP cabins and two further guest cabins below, all close to equal in size. A crew of five have self-contained quarters with their own access to the flybridge, which keeps service moving without guests seeing the work behind it.
Performance and engineering
Two MTU 16V2000 M96 engines at 2,638 hp each give her a 24-knot cruise and a 28-knot top speed, quick enough to make a long day trip an easy option. She carries Fin and Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers, and 9,000 litres of fuel and 1,320 litres of water aboard.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
