Diamond Yachts builds to individual specification rather than to a fixed configuration, so the next owner is buying a platform first and a finished layout second. At 68 feet, the Diamond EF66 is still on order rather than afloat.
Layout and accommodation
The builder offers multiple interior layouts on the EF66, and the next owner chooses among them before she is finished: up to five cabins for ten guests, with crew space still to be settled as part of the build. The stern doubles as a with a behind it, so the and the garage are already fixed points that the interior layouts are built around.
Performance and engineering
Two Cummins QSB6.7 diesels give her a 10-knot cruise and a 15-knot top speed, catamaran numbers that trade outright pace for a stable, level ride across the twin hulls. She carries 396 gallons of water, tankage that matters on a boat an owner is more likely to keep out for days than for an afternoon.
On deck and at anchor

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
