Moonracker Motor Yacht
About Moonracker
A steel hull under an aluminium superstructure is the base Bilgin built Moonracker on in 2019, chosen for durability over long distances rather than for outright speed. At forty-seven metres and 499 gross tons, twin Caterpillar engines carry her at an eleven-knot cruise, a pace set by design rather than by limitation.
Build and provenance
Bilgin delivered Moonracker in 2019 with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, a combination built for long-range reliability rather than sprint speed. Unique Yacht Design drew her exterior, and İlkay Dovan led her interior design from within Bilgin's own studio. She measures forty-seven metres, 156 feet, with a beam of 8.75 metres, 28 feet, and a gross tonnage of 499.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated across five cabins, led by a full-beam owner's suite set forward on the main deck, complete with its own office and ensuite bathroom, kept apart from the four guest cabins below. A crew of nine, close to one for every guest, runs the yacht, and a lift between decks means that separation costs no stairs.
Performance and engineering
Twin Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of eleven knots, built for a steady long-range passage rather than a fast crossing. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure back that programme up, favouring reliability over the lighter build of a sports yacht.
Where she lies and how to see her
Moonracker lies in West Palm Beach, in the United States. Boatcrowd sets up a viewing there and takes buyers through it in person, and once an offer on her is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before she changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
