A tri-deck profile on a twenty-four-metre hull is an explorer-yacht signature, and it is what gives Beyond Capricorn the presence of something built several metres longer. Bering delivered her in 2017, and a refit recorded in 2026 has kept her current since. She lies in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Build and provenance
Sabdes Design drew her exterior lines, and Bering finished the interior itself in a traditional, varnished style that suits an explorer built for distance rather than dockside display. Her hull is steel, on a boat rated at 147 gross tonnes across 78 feet overall. The 2026 refit sits on her build sheet nine years after that original 2017 delivery; how far the work reached is not recorded on the sheet, only that it happened.
Layout and accommodation
Four staterooms take up to nine guests, including a master suite and a VIP cabin, with a crew of four looking after them. The captain's cabin sits beside the wheelhouse, a placement built for long passages rather than short hops between anchorages.
Performance and engineering
Twin 350hp Cummins engines carry her at a 9-knot cruise and up to 12 knots flat out, speeds suited to range rather than sprint. Two 40kW generators and a 14kW back-up keep her systems running at anchor, and stabilisers work both at anchor and underway, so a long stop off an island stays steady. A 5,000-nautical-mile range is the figure that matters most on an explorer: it is the difference between a coastal season and a genuine ocean crossing.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
