A steam room, a jacuzzi and an outdoor cinema sit alongside a steel hull built for open water, and that combination is what defines life aboard Heeus. Bering delivered her in 2023 as part of the 145 series, a 44-metre explorer for owners who want distance and comfort in the same yacht, and she lies now in Cannes.
Build and provenance
She is a full-displacement steel monohull, 44 metres long with a 9.7-metre beam and 499 gross tonnes, and her aluminium superstructure sits above a hull reinforced for high-latitude conditions, styled with SABDES Design. That extra steel means a passage through colder or rougher water sits well within her design brief. For a buyer, that construction is the difference between a yacht built to cross oceans and one built to sit at a marina between short hops.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six cabins aboard Heeus, looked after by a crew of nine, a high number for a yacht her size that points to full, attentive service rather than a lean weekend crew. The scale below decks matches the exploring brief above deck: room for a family to spread out over weeks, not just a long weekend.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,200 hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines give her a 10-knot cruise and a 15-knot top speed, a pace built for range and sea-keeping rather than outright speed, matching a hull meant to cross rather than dash between anchorages. Stabilisers work both at anchor and under way, keeping the ride steady whether she is moving or moored for the night.
On deck and at anchor
At anchor, life centres on the jacuzzi on deck, the swimming platform, and a steam room below for evenings after the water. Wifi, satellite television, air conditioning and Starlink keep guests connected far from shore, and an outdoor cinema, bow and stern thrusters, a tender garage, underwater lights and a crane round out the equipment for a long stay aboard.

Heeus lies in Cannes, France. A viewing there is arranged and attended by Boatcrowd from start to finish, and once a buyer's offer is accepted, we bring in a surveyor and organise the sea trial before anything else moves forward. Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
