Project Life Motor Yacht
About Project Life
Two design names sit on a hull that is not finished yet: Espen Øino International and Zuretti Design are both credited on Project Life, working alongside Benetti as she heads toward a 2030 delivery from Italy. Because construction is still under way, a buyer stepping in now can still shape some of her layouts and materials rather than take her as delivered.
Build and provenance
She is a monohull displacement motor yacht, 85 metres long with a draught of 3.5 metres, under construction in Italy. At 2,680 gross tonnes, her hull carries real volume, the kind that lets a designer put space into cabins and public rooms rather than corridors.
Layout and accommodation
Fourteen guests will have seven cabins between them, looked after by a crew of 31, a ratio that points to full formal service at every meal and every stop.
Performance and engineering
Her propulsion is diesel-electric and built to run on HVO biofuel, backed by solar panels and a low-energy HVAC system, an efficiency-first specification rather than something added later. She is designed to cruise at 13 knots and reach 15 at full power, figures that suit a displacement hull built for range rather than speed.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Life is being built in Italy, and Boatcrowd can arrange a visit to Benetti's yard to see her in person before she is finished. Once an offer on her build slot is accepted, survey and sea trial follow once she is complete.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
