About Azimut 68
Carbon fibre in the superstructure, radar arch and hard top keeps weight out of the highest point on the boat, and on a flybridge yacht that is exactly where it steadies the ride. Alberto Mancini and Achille Salvagni worked the Azimut 68's exterior and interior together, and wide glazing carries that collaboration through into how much daylight reaches the saloon. Azimut is building her now, on track for 2026.
Build and provenance
She is a flybridge motor yacht on a monohull, 21 metres long with a beam of 5.2 metres and a 1.6 metre draught to carry the Volvo IPS pairing. Buyers choose between three configurations for the main deck galley, enclosed, open or aft, a decision made before she leaves the yard rather than retrofitted afterwards. For a buyer that means the layout is fixed at order, not changed after delivery.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with two crew aboard to run the Azimut 68 day to day, a ratio suited to a couple or a small family happy to manage much of their own time on board. At 69 feet she carries her volume up top, and the flybridge itself adds a full extra deck of outdoor space above the saloon.
Performance and engineering
Twin Volvo IPS 1350 pod drives, rated at 1,000 hp apiece, give her a 28 knot cruise and a 32 knot top speed. A joystick brings the engines and thrusters onto one control, so close-quarters docking becomes a matter of small, precise movements rather than juggling separate throttles. The IPS system also frees up interior volume, keeps noise and vibration down, and improves fuel efficiency, benefits that follow from moving the drive units further aft under the hull.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge is the outdoor living space on this yacht, open air above the saloon for lounging, dining or steering from up top while guests spread out around the helm.
Where she lies and how to see her
She is being built in Italy now, on track for delivery in 2026, and we can arrange a viewing at the yard as she nears completion. Once she is handed over, we coordinate survey and sea trial after any offer is accepted, the same process a buyer would follow on a yacht already afloat.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
