About Anomaly
A refit in 2025 sits inside the story of a yacht first delivered in 2017, and that eight-year gap between build and refresh says as much about her upkeep as any single feature. Anomaly, ex Ribelle, is a 33-metre sailing sloop from the Dutch yard Vitters, built as a monohull for a six-guest, three-cabin owner's programme.
Build and provenance
Vitters built Anomaly as a monohull sailing yacht, delivered in 2017 and previously known as Ribelle. Malcolm McKeon drew her lines and Remi Tessier designed the interior, a pairing that put racing performance and finished living spaces in the same hull. She was refitted in 2025, which for a buyer means recent attention to her systems rather than eight years passing unchecked.
Layout and accommodation
Six guests sleep in three cabins, and a crew of six looks after them, close to one crew member per guest. That balance suits a yacht built around racing pedigree and passage-making, where extra hands do more work than extra cabins would.
Performance and engineering
A single 261hp Volvo Penta engine drives her on a single screw, backed by two Kohler generators for house power under sail and at anchor. She cruises at 10 knots and reaches 12 flat out under power, figures that belong to a yacht meant to sail rather than motor, with the engine there for windless days and marina manoeuvres.
On deck and at anchor
A spa pool and jacuzzi sit on deck alongside sun deck space, and water toys are carried aboard for time at anchor. Together they turn a performance sailing yacht into one that rewards guests once the sails come down.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
