About Scorpios
Scorpios left the Tramontana Yachts yard in 2023, a custom-built, fifty-two-metre steel motor yacht with no refit recorded since delivery. At 380 gross tons she has real volume behind that length, built as a displacement monohull rather than a yacht chasing speed.
Build and provenance
Tramontana Yachts built Scorpios to a custom design, a steel hull and steel superstructure finished in 2023 on a monohull, displacement profile rather than a planing one. At fifty-two metres and 170 feet, with a beam of 8.6 metres, she carries 380 gross tons of volume, and with no refit on record there is only the original build to weigh.
Layout and accommodation
Six cabins sleep twelve guests, arranged on a convertible plan that lets the crew reconfigure berths between charters, and the full-beam master and full-beam VIP each occupy the width of the hull, the VIP with its own separate entrance for privacy. A crew of ten runs the yacht, a high ratio for twelve guests that points to full service rather than a lean charter crew.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at eleven knots and reaches fourteen at full throttle, speeds that suit a displacement hull built for steady passages rather than short bursts. That pairing, with her 8.6-metre beam, gives Scorpios the stability a group of guests wants at anchor as much as under way.
Where she lies and how to see her
Scorpios lies in Split, Croatia. Boatcrowd sets up every viewing in person and stays involved through them, and once an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before anything is signed off. She also sails in our charter fleet, based in Split and reaching into Montenegro, so a buyer weighing the purchase can book a week aboard first and see how she handles before deciding.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
