Sunseeker built Submarino as a Sports Cruiser in 2016, a monohull finished in fibreglass, 71 feet long with a beam of 5.1 metres. No refit is recorded, so ten years on from delivery a survey will read as an assessment of the original build rather than of any work done since. The absence of a recorded refit is itself useful information: it tells a buyer that whatever has changed aboard her has not been logged as a major works project.

- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
