The owner's suite sits forward on the bow rather than amidships or aft, with its own direct access to a private patio, and that single decision shapes the whole layout of the Sirena Superyachts 42M/02. Sirena Yachts is building her for delivery in 2029, hull number two of the 42-metre design.
Build and provenance
She is a fast displacement design from Van Oossanen Naval Architects, built in steel with an aluminium superstructure and constructed to RINA classification. At 42 metres and 434 gross tons, with beam of 8.8 metres and draught at 2.5 metres, the hull form is drawn for efficient long-range running rather than outright volume.
Layout and accommodation
The layout accommodates ten guests in five cabins, with the owner's quarters positioned forward on the bow and its own patio rather than tucked below on the accommodation deck. Hot Lab Yacht & Design set the interior around curves and greenery with a light colour palette, while Luca Vallebona drew the exterior lines.
Performance and engineering
Twin MAN engines rated at 1,450 hp and turning at 2,100 rpm give her a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots, engineering built around efficient range rather than outright pace. Kohler generators and Zero Speed stabilisers complete the technical package, keeping her level at anchor as well as under way.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club and a swimming pool with a deck jacuzzi make up her at-anchor spaces on deck.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
