About Alchemist
Five decks of separation across a 62-metre hull let Alchemist keep her owner's deck genuinely private, a full level given over to a study and its own exterior space. Sanlorenzo built her in 2022 to the 62Steel design, with exterior and interior styling by Officina Italiana Design.
Build and provenance
Her hull is steel and her superstructure aluminium, a lighter material set above the waterline while the steel hull carries the load below it. She is classed with Lloyd's Register, meaning independent inspection through construction and beyond. At 1,350 gross tons, that volume is spread across five decks rather than concentrated on fewer, larger ones.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated across six cabins, led by the owner's full deck with its private study and exterior space, and five further cabins give flexibility for family or friends travelling together. A crew of fourteen work from their own quarters, a ratio that keeps a full guest list looked after without the crew crossing paths with them on the guest decks.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,502 hp MTU 16V 4000 M53 engines give Alchemist a 12-knot cruise, output suited to comfortable passages rather than a fast crossing. Stabilisers hold her level at anchor, and a helipad rated for touch-and-go landings adds a way on and off her that doesn't depend on a tender.
On deck and at anchor
The beach club's fold-down terraces create a direct connection to the water, and a swimming pool adds to the wider outdoor living space of her deck plan. A jacuzzi sits on deck, and an outdoor bar and an outdoor shower cover the practical side of a day spent outside; underwater lights and a spa round out the amenities for evenings at anchor, with a cinema aboard for when the weather turns.

Alchemist lies in Nantucket, in the United States. Boatcrowd arranges each viewing and is on hand throughout, then brings in survey and sea trial once an offer is accepted.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
