Cocoon II Motor Yacht
About Cocoon II
A cruising speed of 22 knots and a top end of 32 knots make COCOON II a yacht built for quick, easy runs rather than long, slow days at sea. Princess built her as an S78 in 2021, a Sport-styled motor yacht now offered for sale from Miami.
Build and provenance
Princess built COCOON II to the S78 model in the Sport style, a monohull motor yacht. She measures 24 metres in length with a beam of 5.8 metres and a gross tonnage of 345, delivered in 2021. For a buyer, that tonnage on a 24-metre hull points to a boat with real volume below deck, not just length on paper.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests aboard COCOON II, a scale suited to a family or a small group of friends rather than a boat built to sleep to capacity. The Sport styling, rather than a flybridge configuration, keeps the accommodation to the main deck and below.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at 22 knots with a top speed of 32 knots, putting COCOON II firmly in day-boat territory: built for a fast run out to anchor rather than a long passage. That gap between her cruising and top speed also leaves an owner room to push on when the day calls for it.
Where she lies and how to see her
COCOON II lies in Miami. Boatcrowd arranges viewings there and attends each one with a prospective buyer, and once an offer is accepted, we bring in the survey and sea trial that follow before the sale is completed.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
