Navy Motor Yacht
About Navy
Eleven years and one builder is the whole of Navy's paper trail, and for a buyer weighing provenance that is a short, legible story rather than a complicated one. Princess Yachts built her in 2015 as the S72, and she is currently based in El Gouna, Egypt. A single-yard build with a clear year of delivery is a straightforward starting point for a survey.
Build and provenance
Princess Yachts delivered Navy in 2015 to the S72 design, a Sport-styled model in the builder's line. She is a monohull built in fibreglass, a straightforward and well-understood construction that keeps upkeep and insurance predictable for an owner. The Sport designation itself is a fact worth a buyer's attention: it says the hull was drawn with pace as a stated aim, not an afterthought.
Layout and accommodation
Six guests sleep across three cabins, a compact layout suited to a couple travelling with family or friends rather than a full charter party. At just under seventy-three feet, Navy carries that accommodation without feeling stretched, and the smaller cabin count keeps her simple for an owner to run.
Performance and engineering
Navy carries the Sport designation within her range, a boat built with pace in mind as much as comfort. Her engine and speed figures were not part of the record we hold, and a sea trial after an accepted offer is the way for a buyer to confirm them.
Where she lies and how to see her
Navy lies in El Gouna, on Egypt's Red Sea coast, and Boatcrowd can put a buyer aboard there for a proper look. A survey and sea trial follow once an offer is agreed, arranged by us from that first viewing through to handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
