Build and provenance
Numarine builds her as a steel-hulled, full-displacement monohull, 40 metres long with a 2.6-metre draught and an 8-metre beam, dimensions that keep her steady at anchor as much as underway. MXP stands for Mediterranean Explorer, and the model is built around a more casual way of living aboard than the traditional garage-and-beach-club arrangement offers. Numarine has already sold three of them ahead of delivery.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep in five cabins, and with the beach club and tender garage removed from the stern, that space now belongs to an enlarged aft deck and a wider swim platform, both reached directly from the water at anchor. The interior layout options and the sundeck carry over from the sister model unchanged.
Performance and engineering
Two 900 hp MAN D2862 engines give her a 12-knot cruise and 14 knots at full speed, numbers that suit steady coastal running over long fast passages. She carries 12,944 gallons of fuel and 1,056 gallons of fresh water, tankage built for time spent at anchor rather than for crossing an ocean in one leg.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
