About Grace II
A single owner has looked after Grace II since Monte Carlo delivered her in 2020, and by the seller's account she has never been chartered. A yacht with one owner from new tends to arrive at survey with a cleaner history. She is the Monte Carlo MCY 66, a flybridge motor yacht built for exactly this kind of quiet ownership.
Build and provenance
Monte Carlo built the MCY 66 as a composite yacht, her hull laid up in fibreglass with Kevlar and carbon fibre reinforcement to keep weight down without giving up strength. At 20 metres, 66 feet, she carries a 5.2-metre beam and a 1.2-metre draught. The interior is by Nuvolari Lenard, whose open layouts favour light and flow over enclosed rooms, and it shows in how the salon and cockpit read as one continuous space.
Layout and accommodation
Six guests sleep across three cabins, a full-beam suite forward among them, each finished in Italian leathers and natural stone with a copper accent running through the joinery. A crew of two keeps the boat, small enough that they work around the owner's day rather than the other way round. The galley sits aft of the salon in an open arrangement, so cooking stays part of the gathering rather than shut away below.
Performance and engineering
Grace II cruises at 24 knots and reaches 30 flat out, planing speeds rather than a slow displacement pace. A gyro stabiliser and bow and stern thrusters make her easy to handle short-handed, at sea and alongside. She carries 925 gallons of fuel, 3,497 litres, and 198 gallons of fresh water, 749 litres.
On deck and at anchor
The stern folds down hydraulically into a swim platform at the waterline, and fold-down terraces open the sides of the boat out over the water at anchor. A spa pool sits on the sun deck above, so the choice at anchor is between the sea and a tub several steps closer to the sky.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
