Solemates Motor Yacht
About Solemates
13.5 knots is a steady, unhurried cruising speed for a 55-metre, 760-gross-tonne yacht, and Solemates holds to it without visible strain. Heesen built her in 2025, with Van Oossanen's naval architecture under Omega Architects' exterior lines. The numbers point to a yacht built for range rather than a burst of speed.
Build and provenance
Her hull is steel, her superstructure aluminium, and she is built to Lloyd's Register classification, the combination Van Oossanen's naval architecture is designed to support over a long passage. Luca Dini's interior keeps to clean lines and contemporary finishes rather than heavy detailing.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep in six cabins, laid out so the owner's accommodation sits apart from the guest cabins. A crew of 14 keeps the yacht running, generous cover for a boat this size. Wide side decks link the main, upper and sun decks, so moving between the outdoor seating and dining areas on each level does not mean going back inside.
Performance and engineering
Twin MTU engines hold Solemates to a cruising speed of 13.5 knots, with little more on offer at full throttle, a pace built for covering distance steadily rather than arriving fast. That same steel hull and aluminium superstructure, drawn by Van Oossanen, are what let her carry the range a long-haul yacht needs.
Where she lies and how to see her
Solemates lies in Malta. Boatcrowd handles the viewings there and is present for each one, and once an offer is accepted, we arrange the survey and set a date for the sea trial before anything is final.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
