About Umai

A buyer choosing Umai is choosing a boat built for distance rather than speed: a displacement hull meant for long, steady passages instead of a fast run to lunch. FDC Yachts is building her now for delivery in 2027, a 26-metre motor yacht designed by a Turkish yard for genuine ocean-going range.

Build and provenance

FDC Yachts, the Turkish builder, designed Umai as a displacement motor yacht on a monohull, a shape chosen for efficiency over acceleration. At 170 gross tonnes she carries real volume for her length, and because she is still in build a buyer takes delivery of a new yacht rather than inheriting someone else's maintenance history.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across five staterooms, including an owner's suite set on the main deck rather than below, which keeps the owner's day-to-day life on the level where the living happens. Five cabins for ten guests leaves room to spread out rather than share tight quarters.

Performance and engineering

Two Volvo Penta D13 engines give her a 12-knot cruise and 14 knots flat out, modest figures that match a displacement hull built to cover long distances efficiently rather than to plane across short ones. Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at rest, useful on a boat meant for real passages and the anchorages at the end of them.

Where she lies and how to see her

Umai lies in Greece, where she is being built for a 2027 delivery. Boatcrowd will arrange viewings as she nears completion and attend them in person, and once an offer is accepted we co-ordinate survey and sea trial ahead of handover.
