Build and provenance
Her hull is steel and her superstructure aluminium, already joined on the building way, so a buyer inherits a finished platform rather than a design on paper. The build follows an ice class and polar code, a specification for owners planning routes beyond temperate cruising grounds. At 1,000 gross tonnes on a 60-metre length, she carries a significant enclosed volume for her owner to shape.
Layout and accommodation
Six guest suites are planned for up to twelve guests, including a master cabin reached by its own staircase and set beside the main saloon. A crew of thirteen keeps the yacht running, a ratio that points to full service rather than a lean delivery crew. The exterior decks are laid out for time outdoors: space for al fresco dining, an observation deck with a gym and a jacuzzi, and a beach club with a swimming platform that extends from the hull.
Performance and engineering
Aft on the bridge deck is a helipad built for heli operations, with a crane sized to launch a submersible and tenders rather than just a dinghy. Below, there is space allocated for two twelve-metre containers of expedition gear, the kind of stowage an ice-rated hull needs for a season that runs beyond a single ocean. Engine specification is still to be finalised, in keeping with a project still under construction.

Supernova is under construction in Livorno, Italy, where she can be viewed at her build stage. Boatcrowd arranges those visits and attends them with a buyer, and once terms are agreed we coordinate the survey and sea trial ahead of delivery.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
