Columbus Atlantique 65 Motor Yacht
About Columbus Atlantique 65
Two MTU 12V4000M63 engines set the pace for the Columbus Atlantique 65: a 17.5-knot top speed with a 14-knot cruise. Columbus is building her in Italy, for delivery in 2030.
Build and provenance
She measures 66 metres, 215 feet, with a beam of 12 metres and a draught of 3.3 metres, and a gross tonnage of 1,300. Columbus lists her as in build, for delivery in 2030, from Italy.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests are accommodated in six cabins, with a crew of seventeen looking after them: more crew than guests, which on a yacht this size points to comprehensive, not stretched, service.
Performance and engineering
She runs on diesel through her two MTU 12V4000M63 engines, cruising at 14 knots and reaching 17.5 knots at full throttle: enough to shorten a passage without the fuel burn of a hull built purely to plane.
On deck and at anchor
On deck she carries a swimming pool, a beach club and a sun deck, the three spaces where a day on board actually happens once the anchor is down.
Where she lies and how to see her
Italy is where she is taking shape, with a 2030 handover on the yard's schedule. Interested buyers see her through Boatcrowd, who stay for the visit; from an accepted offer, survey and sea trial run before delivery.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
