About Regina d'Italia
A lift connecting every deck and a private master suite: this is the layout of a residence, not a cruising boat. Codecasa completed her in 2019, and Regina D'Italia has stayed with one private owner from that day to this. The interior, from M2 Atelier working with a well-known fashion designer, favours restrained materials at scale over decoration.
Build and provenance
Codecasa built Regina D'Italia in 2019 to RINA classification and the LY3 standard for private use, a 65-metre, 1,300 gross ton motor yacht. She has never operated in charter, and a future owner could pursue re-coding for that purpose, subject to survey and class review. Her materials carry that private brief through the interior: silk and Astrakhan on the walls, Brazilian lapis lazuli marble, a table cut from crocodile skin and bespoke panels by Fornasetti, with every scheme built so it can be changed by whoever owns her next.
Layout and accommodation
Fourteen guests are accommodated across nine cabins, with a crew of sixteen aboard to look after them, more crew than guests and built for full-time, hands-on service. A lift connects every deck, useful when the accommodation runs over this many levels, and a fully equipped gym is also fitted.
Performance and engineering
Two 2,000 hp Caterpillar 3512C engines give her a 14-knot cruise and 16 knots at full power, the pace of a displacement hull built for long, comfortable passages rather than speed. Stabilisers hold her steady at anchor, so evenings on board stay level regardless of the sea outside.

Regina D'Italia lies in Viareggio, Italy, where she returns each winter after a season cruising the Mediterranean. We arrange every viewing and attend it with you; once an offer is accepted, the survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
